Turning 29 has made me contemplate just what I’ve really done during my twenties. In that contemplation I realized there are several things I wanted to to do in my life that I haven’t done. I’m grateful for my procrastination on some things, but on others I couldn’t understand why they were still lingering. So, I’ve decided to fix that.
First thing to check off was getting my nose pierced, which I did today. I am so pleased with how it looks!

I have to give major props to my piercer, Pineapple, at Shaman Modifications. This guy is amazing! The facilities were cleaner than most hospitals I’ve been to and his hygiene standards should be the norm in all piercing facilities. I barely felt any pain beyond the first insertion. He put on some of my favorite music and after a few deep breaths I went into a calm meditative state. The whole experience was perfect! If you live in central Texas and are planning to get pierced or tattooed, you have to go to Shaman.
I plan to make this year awesome and so far so good!
AULD LANG SYNE ~ The Sparks Sessions
It was not New Years Eve. We just wanted a sufficiently drunkardly song.
JeffPeff and I recorded this when we finished scoring Sparks. There had been a wine bottle in the kick drum the whole several weeks, and we did track after track until we drank the whole thing. I think it was around twenty-five takes, so both our voices on each made about fifty voices.
Bonne Année de la France!
